Whether you are an expectant mother or you have children who need to fly unaccompanied, you will find all of the necessary information here. Also there is information for those who have special medical needs or need wheelchair access.
Expectant Mothers
We will accept you for travel without a MEDIF (if there are no complications of which the guest is aware) if you are an Expectant Mother From 1st week to the 27th week (till the end of the 27th week) of pregnancy. If the passenger is traveling between 28 and 35 weeks (inclusive for a single pregnancy ) and between 28th and 31st( inclusive for multiple pregnancy ), a valid Medical Certificate or MEDIF dated not less than seven (7) days before the date of departure shall be required stating the number of weeks of pregnancy and confirming that the Expectant Mother is “fit to fly.” We regret not accepting certificates from registered midwives. We do not accept any liability for any complication or medical event associated with the pregnancy arising from travel on our aircraft. We shall not accept you for travel if you are an Expectant Mother of a Single pregnancy from week 36 and above and a Multiple pregnancy from week 32 and above. We shall not accept Expectant Mothers if arrangements to carry them have not been requested and agreed to before the Booking is confirmed.
Travelling with Infants
If you are travelling with an infant*, only one infant is allowed to be seated on the lap of an adult. Children aged 2 years and above must occupy their own flynas seat and must pay the applicable fare.
Please be advised that we do not provide special food for infants and our crew will not heat your own food. Also please note that infants younger than 7-days-old will not be accepted for travel on flynas.
If you are travelling with an infant or a child aged between 2 and 11 years, you can add a stroller without any fees for your infant/child and during check-in, we will put luggage tags on any strollers that your infant/child may be in. You can still use these inside the airport; however, we will collect strollers before you board and store them in the hold. Upon arrival, your stroller can be collected at the baggage carousel.
*An infant is deemed to be between the ages of 7-days-old to below 2-years-old.
Travelling with Children
flynas offers child tickets for all children age from two (2) to eleven (11) years old (inclusive) at time of travelling. Child tickets is applicable for all domestic and international flights. Booking of a child ticket is available on all flynas sales channels including flynas.com, flynas call center & retail outlets and local travel agents. Child tickets are only available if the Child is travelling with an adult, and both must purchase the same Fare Type.
Date of birth must be provided at time of booking, which shall be verified (passport, identification card or birth certificate) upon check in, failing which fare difference will be charged accordingly.

Unaccompanied Minors
Children below 12 years-old and travelling alone will not be accepted for travel. The minor can however travel on flynas if a person 15-years-old or over accompanies them and takes responsibility for them as their parent, legal guardian or companion..
Young Passenger Traveling Alone
Children between 12 - 15 years are allowed to travel unaccompanied, provided that the requested form is filled out and printed in order to proceed during check-in. .
PASSENGERS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY
Special Medical Needs
If you, or someone on your booking, are a Customer with special needs, you will require prior approval from us at flynas at the time of your booking. You will also need a valid doctor’s certificate stating the nature of your illness and declaring you ‘fit to fly’ on your specified dates of travel. If you need the presence of a Care Assistant they will also be required to make a booking through the Contact Centre on the same flynas flight at the relevant tariff.
Customers with special needs must book their flight via the flynas Call Centre at least 24 hours in advance of the intended travel date. We will try our best to accommodate such requests, however, flynas reserves the right to decline such Customers should appropriate medical assistance or documentation, as stated above, be unavailable.
Blind - Deaf - Blind & Deaf
Any person with a disability and need of assistance must travel with a companion who is over 18; only passengers who do not need a companion as their safety requirements can be covered by our crew may travel alone.
For Flynas, safety rules are fundamental and, in some cases, it is not possible to cover the needs for assistance that a disabled person may require. It must be taken into account that Flynas does not provide any medical attention on board and, therefore, any passengers with reduced mobility who are not self-sufficient must always be accompanied.
Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair passengers may be accepted without an attendant provided they are able to make the flight without difficulty or special attention. They must not be seated next to emergency exits.
There are three categories of wheelchair passengers:
- 1. Wheel Chair Ramp (WCHR): A passenger who can ascend / descend steps and make his own way to/from cabin seat but cannot manage long distances.
- 2. Wheel Chair Steps (WCHS): A passenger who cannot ascend / descend steps but is able to make his own way slowly to/ from cabin seat.
- 3. Wheel Chair Cabin or Carry (WCHC): A passenger who is completely immobile and requires wheel chair to/from aircraft and to/from cabin seat
A fully collapsible manual wheelchair (or other mobility device or a pair of crutches), should they be required by a guest, may be carried in the hold at no extra charge.
Each WCHC passenger should be accompanied by an Able Body Person Escort. In case WCHC passengers are travelling in a group, it is permissible for one Escort to look after up to 2 WCHC passengers.
In order to travel without a companion, the person must be capable of:
- Opening their safety belt
- Getting and putting on their life-jacket
- Putting on their oxygen mask without help
- Understanding the safety instructions and following the information given in all accessible formats
We are aware that a person with a disability may often need fastening, aid or comfort devices. They may be taken and used as long as they fit in the seats and allow the safety belt to be fastened. It must be taken into account that Flynas does not provide these devices.
Note: WCHR, WCHS or WCHC passengers under 12 years of age must always be accompanied by an ABP.
Special Counters:
Special Counters in Riyadh:
- The Domestic terminal 5 – near the gate 1.
- The International in Terminal 3 – next to counter 201 – The gate near the site is the main gate of the terminal.
Special Counters in Jeddah:
- The nearest external gate to the counters from the drop-off area outside the airport (cars) Gate (D1).
- The location of the counters for people with disabilities is counter D41 .
Special Counters in Dammam:
- The main entrance for the terminal - Check-in counters area, counter No. 414, (Area No. 4).
It is preferable for the guest with a pre-order to arrive at the counters before the departure of the flight, at least an hour and a half from the departure time for domestic flights, and two hours for international flights, preparing all papers for applications and travel documents.
