flynas Opens Applications for Saudi Men and Women to Apply for the "Future Pilots" Program to Graduate 100 Co-Pilots

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – 29 May 2022: flynas, the Saudi air carrier and the leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, has announced that its Future Pilots program will receive applications from Saudi men and women to graduate 100 co-pilots, the biggest batch of its kind after flynas completely localized the co-pilot job.

Opening the program for applications coincides with the flynas announcement of increasing its orders of new aircraft to 250 as part of the airline's efforts to boost the localization of jobs and meet the needs of growth and expansion plans.

The application to the "Future Pilots" program will be available through flynas website from 29th of May until 29th of June 2022.

Since its establishment in 2007, flynas has committed itself to launching the Future Pilots program as a strategic step that affirms the Saudi carrier's dependence on ambitious Saudi youth. The main objective is to create a new generation of the Kingdom's men and women well qualified to work as pilots. The program is characterized by a combination of theoretical and practical study as well as actual training. After finishing the training program, the graduate will be able to work as a co-pilot for flynas. With about 200 graduates so far, the program aims at increasing the number of graduates within the following years.

The Future Pilots program contributed to the Saudisation of co-pilots in flynas by 100%, to be the first program of its kind in the Middle East to achieve its localization goals. Receiving applications from the new group of applicants comes after flynas announced its intention to increase the purchase orders to 250 new aircraft, a move expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs. Each new aircraft creates about 100 direct and indirect jobs in the fields of stewardship, dispatching, maintenance, ground services, and more.

Globally ranked among the top 10 low-cost airlines, flynas has recently announced the approval of the company's Board of Directors for flynas strategic plan and an order for 130 new aircraft, at the cost between US$ 13 to 15 billion, as the air carrier plans to increase its destinations from 70 to 165.

flynas connects more than 70 domestic and international destinations through its fleet of more than 35 aircraft, and it has transported more than 60 million passengers since its establishment in 2007.

Recently, flynas has achieved the highest rating in APEX Official Airline Rating, the non-profit organization, and ranked in the 4-star low-cost carrier category, the highest category of low-cost airline globally among 600 companies globally.
