flynas Launched its First Flights to Pakistan

Riyadh – February 15: flynas, the national Saudi carrier and leading low cost airline in the Middle East, celebrated the launch of its first flight to Pakistan on Thursday 15 February, 2018.

The ceremony was held at King Khalid International Airport at Terminal 2, in the presence of the Pakistani Consul, Dr. Bilal Ahmed, the Director General of King Khalid International Airport, Eng. Sulaiman Al-Tarif, and Flynas Chief Operations Officer, Captain Mansour Al Harbi.

flynas will initially operate 14 flights weekly and will increase gradually in the coming months. The inaugural flight took off from Riyadh to Lahore on Feb. 15 at 9:50 pm. On February 16, flynas launched flights from Riyadh to Islamabad and from Dammam to Lahore, while flights from Jeddah to Lahore were launched on 17 February.

The new route between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is part of flynas’ strategic plans to expand in Asia, reach new destinations and meet the growing demand driven by pilgrims.

Dr. Bilal Ahmed, Pakistan Consul in Saudi Arabia said on this occasion, “I would like to thank flynas for their invitation and I highly appreciate their efforts to operate 14 weekly flights to Pakistan. Around 2.6 million Pakistanis are living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and we value all the efforts that aim at strengthening the relations between the two countries, boosting business partnerships, and operating more flights to and from Pakistan to meet the growing demand."
