flynas Supports Breast Cancer Patients with Treatment Flights and Onboard Awareness Campaigns

  • In collaboration with Zahra Breast Cancer Association during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 2024

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – October 14, 2024:

flynas, the leading low-cost airline in the world and the best LCC in the Middle East, has pledged to provide 120 tickets over the next year for breast cancer patients to travel for treatment. Additionally, the airline has launched an onboard awareness campaign in which the captain and crew will share messages to raise awareness about breast cancer. This initiative is part of a collaboration with Zahra Breast Cancer Association, which has launched its campaign under the slogan #OneStepAhead.

flynas' social responsibility initiatives include Zahra Association, the largest organization in Saudi Arabia dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and providing support for patients and survivors, reflecting the airline's commitment to adopting programs that create a lasting positive impact on the community.

Throughout the year, flynas will offer monthly travel vouchers to breast cancer patients and one accompanying person for treatment-related flights. Zahra Association will manage the application process, reviewing the candidate's medical and financial circumstances to determine eligibility. The provided tickets also extend to the members of Zahra Association to support it in achieving its goals.

This initiative is the latest in a series of inclusive programs by flynas in 2024, aiming to serve diverse segments of society. It aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the airline's commitment as a member of the UN Global Compact, mainly supporting the goal of "Good Health and Well-being."

In January, flynas announced a training program for cabin crew and ground staff to enhance their ability to support autistic passengers. The program also included sign language training to improve communication with hear-impaired passengers, ensuring a more comfortable and inclusive travel experience for everyone.
