Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Minister of Hajj and Umrah Honored flynas for Participating as a Golden Sponsor In The Hajj Expo 2025
Riyadh - January 14, 2025: flynas, the leading low-cost airline in the world and the best LCC in the Middle East, have been honoured by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz and the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah for participating in the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 2025 as a golden sponsor for the fourth edition of the major event to be organized by the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah, in line with flynas care about Hajj and Umrah as a strategic sector for its operations. The Hajj Conference and Exhibition is dedicated to enhancing the pilgrimage experience through innovative programs and initiatives. The fourth edition is held at the Superdome in Jeddah from 13-16 January, with the participation of more than 120 expert speakers and the engagement of more than 950 global delegates. Hajj and Umrah is a very strategic sector for flynas, and the leading LCC has flown more than 100,000 pilgrims from 17 countries in three continents during the last Hajj season of 1445 AH (2024 AD), bringing the total number of pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims carried by flynas to more than two million since its launch in 2007 AD. The leading LCC also participates in the Makkah Route Initiative, a fast-track program launched in 2019 as one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs to serve the pilgrims, in parallel with the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques. Gearing up for the next Hajj season, flynas is persistently expanding its network and bolstering its fleet, including the introduction of 24 new destinations and routes in 2024 and addition of 6 new A320neo aircraft to the fleet, and signing an agreement with Airbus to purchase 160 new aircraft, including 130 single-aisle aircraft, with three different models (A320neo / A321neo / A321LR), as well as 30 A330neo wide-body aircraft for the first time, as the leading LCC’s fleet and network are poised for significant growth, in line with flynas growth and expansion plan, launched under the title “We Connect the World to the Kingdom”, in parallel with the objectives of the National Civil Aviation Strategy to enable national air carriers to contribute to connecting KSA with 250 International destinations and to accommodate 330 million passengers and to host 150 million tourists yearly by 2030 and the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques. flynas operates 139 routes to more than 70 domestic and international destinations in 30 countries with more than 1500 weekly flights and has flown more than 80 million passengers since its launch in 2007, with the aim to reach 165 domestic and international destinations, which is in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
