flynas Organizes a Trip to Georgia for Saudi Journalists and Media Influencers to Introduce The New Destination


Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, September 04, 2018: flynas, the Saudi national air carrier and leading low-cost airline in the middle east, organized a trip to Georgia for journalist and media influencers working for various Saudi television channels, newspapers and websites. This trip aimed to discover the most important tourist and historical sites in Georgia, in cooperation with the Georgian National Tourism Administration.

A special program spread over six days from August 26 to 31 was organized for the media professionals’ trip. The attendees toured prominent landmarks such as the National Museum, the old town of Tbilisi, the Nrikala Castle, Abanotubani sulfur baths, the Cambrianadze Theater, the Peace Bridge, Gafalati Falls and Gergeti Trinity Church. During their visit, the media attendees met with the Georgian National Tourism Administration and discussed a number of topics related to tourism in Georgia. Later, they toured Gori and met with the Georgian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. George Jangava and Flynas CEO Mr. Bandar Al-Muhanna, who welcomed the delegation, praising the generosity of the Georgians.

Director of Corporate Communications and Spokesperson of flynas, Mr. Ahmad Al-Musained, said that the trip organized by flynas, in cooperation with the Georgian National Tourism Administration and Voyager, aimed to introduce the Saudi media to the new destination to which flynas launched to Tbilisi. He added that the trip is an important opportunity to get to discover the new destination and it opens new doors to flynas guests to get acquainted with these cultures and benefit from flynas special offers.

Mr. Al-Musained stressed that this step comes to enhance the tourism cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Georgia and aims to support the tourism industry in the Kingdom by building tourism partnerships with other countries to motivate its citizens to visit the Kingdom.

In June 2018, flynas has launched direct flights from Riyadh to a number of new destinations, including Tbilisi, as part of its expansion plan to reach more destinations to meet the Saudi market requirements and to be the first national airline to offer direct flights to Tbilisi.
